Throwback Thursday 003
This story is about the time when I went chasing the Moon.
This was an adventure to capture. I put on my telephoto lens on APS-C camera, which give me long focal length, pointed it towards the moon, changed the aperture around, and voila, I could suddenly see the Moon clearly on my camera screen. This was a random experiment from the balcony of my apartment. That’s when I decided, I am going to chase moon throughout its cycle and take merge those pictures. Funny enough, that’s when I actually noticed for the first time that moon doesn’t really take the same path each day.
So I had the window of about 14 days to capture the current cycle, and every few days I would go out and chase the location of the moon. Somedays it would be right at the top, somedays it would be barely visible in between the buildings. It was winter time, and I would find the perfect position in the middle of the street, that too in the middle of the night (pretty sure people driving by thought it was weird). Anyways, it was so much fun running around trying to capture the shot. Later I overlapped all the images on the same frame, and that’s how I got my shot 😁
